Delaware County's highest ground is located near the triple point with Morrow and Knox Counties. It is just south of a road that goes by many names on various mapping services -- Mt. Vernon Olive Green Road, Peerless Road, and Ball Road are three of them.

The original contour of 1240 feet is an intrusion from Knox County to the east. The DEM data, however, suggests that the actual highest point is another bump along the trail that follows the county line south from the aforementioned road. This bump also appears to be in a wooded area. On the DEM map, this point is located just barely west of the orange county line, near where "1240" is printed twice. The DEM gives a maximum elevation for this point of 1244.3 feet. Anyone who has completed the original point further south has likely walked right over this one as well. The original point, which looks less impressive on the DEM data, is given an elevation of 1239.9 feet.

Just across a field depression to the northwest of the "new" high point is another area that exceeds 1240 feet. This one peaks out at 1242.5 feet, and may also be worth a quick visit.
