Northwestern Area
This area is located along the Fairfield County line, on Winchester Southern Road (OH Route 674), about 2 miles north of Stoutsville. Pickaway County is on the west side of the road.
The original topo depicts a rather large 1090 foot contour for this area, and the DEM data confirms this. In fact, the DEM data indicates one small area of 1100 feet, a bit to the north of the driveway seen on the aerial imagery. The DEM data provides a maximum elevation for this area of 1102.1 feet. It is along the west bank of the road, so it may be artificial, but the whole area along the road is likely close to 1100 feet in elevation.

Southeastern Area
This area is located along the Fairfield County line, on Tarlton Road, about one mile east of Tarlton. Pickaway County is on the south side of the road.
Although this area looks nicer on the DEM than the area near Stoutsville, the data supports a notably lower elevation. The 1090 contour is small on the original topo, and just as small on the DEM data. The DEM gives a maximum elevation of 1093.9 feet. Note that higher ground exists in the immediate vicinity to the north, in Fairfield County.
With an elevation deficit of 6-8 feet from the area near Stoutsville, the Tarlton area does not appear to be in contention for the county's highest point.
