The infamous "rest area" high point is located about two and a half miles southeast of New Paris, and about three miles due east of the Indiana/Ohio border.
The LiDAR DEM indicates that the highest ground is located north of Interstate 70 in a field, and matches perfectly the location of the original 1240+ foot contour. The maximum elevation provided by the LiDAR data is 1240.3 feet. The highest ground is located about 300 feet northeast of the rest area's northeast fence line, separating the grass at the rest area from the farm field.
